The National Transfer Scheme Evaluation Research

We were commissioned by the South East Strategic Partnership for Migration to conduct an evaluation of the National Transfer Scheme for UASC in the South East from a child’s perspective. Overall children’s experience was good.

This report recommends that absolutely crucial to positive transfer is that children and young people are always actively involved in the transfer process, at every stage, even before the decision to transfer is made. Because to be involved in decisions that affect them is not only a point of good practice in their best interests but their fundamental human right.
